Licensed CPA (or CPAs) must verify that your experience supported the attainment of the six competencies. The verifying CPA does not have to be your day-to-day work supervisor. However, the CPA must be qualified to verify your experience and complete the Verifying CPA section of the Experience Affidavit (Fillable PDF).
Note: The Board will confirm the verifying CPA's license status. If the verifying CPA is licensed in another jurisdiction the process of the application may be delayed depending upon the timeliness of the other jurisdiction's response to our request for information.
The licensed CPA must hold a valid license to practice public accounting in a US jurisdiction for a minimum of five years and has had experience supporting attainment of all six competencies.
